Toro-Okra®

Unmatched viscosity! Brightly colored, creamy texture

01 Renowned for Its Rich Viscosity

Compared to common ridged okra cultivars, it contains an abundance of water-soluble pectin, the main component responsible for its viscosity. You can experience its thick texture even when chopped raw, but it becomes even richer when heated.

Simply rinse, trim the cap, and remove the fine hairs, and you can enjoy it raw. For boiling, cook in hot water for about 90–120 seconds and enjoy it at your preferred tenderness.

As okra tends to become tough when it grows too large, we carefully select the ideal size to ensure the best texture for your enjoyment.

02 Vivid Pastel Green

Brighter in color than typical ridged okra cultivars, it adds a touch of elegance to any dish.

Not only is it great for salads and mixed dishes, but its lack of ridges and splitting resistance also makes it ideal for simmered dishes. For example, adding whole Toro-Okra enhances the dish with its vibrant color and delightfully silky texture when bitten into in a cream stew.
